High Conductivity Copper
All Belden Audio Cables utilize only High Conductivity Copper produced by a process called Electrolytic Tough Pitch. This refining process produces a copper conductor that is 99.95% pure copper, resulting in High Conductivity classification per ASTM B 115. The high purity obtained from ETP processing results in audio cables that are comparable to that of oxygen free copper cables. Special Belden® Features
French Braid Shields
Belden's patented "French Braid" shield is a double spiral (double
serve bare copper shield) with the two spirals tied together with one weave.
This construction provides improved flex life over standard spiral shields,
improved flexibility over conventional braid shields and lower levels of
microphonic or triboelectric noise than either spiral or conventional braid
shields.
Duofoil®
This consists of an aliminium-polyester-aluminium-laminate wrapped around the cable's dielectric core. Provides 100% physical coverage, and improves shield reliability and flex life.
Duobond® II
Essentially the same construction as Duofoil®, but has an extra layer of adhesive bonding the shield to the dialectic core.
Beldfoil®
The first aluminium / polyester foil developed for us as a cable shield. Provides 100% shield coverage for optimum protection.
Z-fold®
This Belden Z-fold® - shielding innovation employs both a shorting fold and an isolation fold. The shorting fold provides metal to metal contact , while the isolation fold prevents adjacent shields from shorting to one another. In addition the z-fold improves voltage breakdown characteristics when compared to standard shorting folds.

Belflex®
Belflex is a matte finish, very soft, flexible and durable PC jacketing compound.
