The Container Store, with 37 locations across the United States and estimated 2005 sales of $500 million, has deployed copper and fiber cabling solutions for its corporate headquarters and national distribution center in Coppell, Texas. Designed and implemented by Acuity, a technology consulting firm, the company's technology network and infrastructure feature the SYSTIMAX GigaSPEED XL and LazrSPEED solutions.


"We needed a highly customized infrastructure design and product solution, with seamless scalability and flexibility to support the critical functions of our nationwide network of stores from the corporate offices," says Jay Wehring, IS platforms director at The Container Store. "It was critical for us to create a solid infrastructure that could accommodate advancements in technology and the increased technology requirements of our organization for the next 15 years." The cabling system was chosen because it could support The Container Store's wholesale upgrade/conversion to voice-over-IP, digital distribution and inventory tracking requirements.
