The Falcon group imports, distributes and manufactures a wide range of electronic and networking products. One of the leaders, in the ever growing electronics sector, the group has become a specialist in electronic and fibre cabling, components, accessories, system components and sophisticated modern racking equipment. By adopting an innovative and dynamic approach, the group has established an effective channel of distribution throughout Southern Africa. Whilst Falcon Electronics' head office in Johannesburg acts as the group's procurement centre, the Gauteng, Cape and Natal branches market and merchandise the group's product range by direct representation and established dealer network throughout Southern Africa. AdlerRac, a manufacturer of cabinets and racking, is an established and successful ISO 9002 certified company. AdlerKabel is a manufacturer of quality cable to the IT industry. The property entities house the group's trading and manufacturing entities. In total, the group occupies in excess of nine thousand square metres of office, warehousing and manufacturing space. The group's research and development laboratory is located in Devland, Johannesburg. The special projects team is responsible for the design, development and testing of all products manufactured locally.Markets
The group is engaged in the distribution of a broad range of products, which encompass the computer, telecommunications, security, racking and industrial electronics sectors. Sales are made to end users and trade and Falcon's product range can be divisionalised as follows: Cables Fibre Connectors Components Lan products and peripherals Cabinets and Accessories Telecoms Falcon's customer base is large, varied and sound and the group is not reliant on any single customer for it's revenue. It is Falcon's commitment to service - that has secured blue chip clients such as Absa Bank, Anglo American, BMW, Novell SA, Olivetti. Reuters, S.A. Breweries, South African Airways, Standard Bank, Telkom, Transnet, Transtel, Iscor and Escom. Falcon's selective advertising program and its presence at most major trade fairs and trade shows ensure wide representation in an ever growing market.Products
Falcon's products are well established, enjoy broad acceptance in the marketplace and are leading brand names in the South African electronics market. Products are sourced both locally and from overseas. Overseas purchases result from agencies held by the group and each principal is a leader in it's field of operations and imports are secured from six different countries. The Adlerac division has established a niche in the market and is fast gaining greater market acceptance. This division has secured some major contracts since it's establishment in 1992. AdleRac is SABS ISO 9002 approved. Most products comply with international standards specifications. The manufacture of cabling and assembly of telephones for the local market promises to be exciting for the group.Summary
